Sad news for tapestry

As most of you have probably heard by now, James Koehler passed away on March 3, 2011.   Several people who have blogs are writing about their experiences with him.  Here are a few that have been posted at this point:

Rebecca Mezoff's blog

Lyn Hart's blog

Janet Austin's blog

Kathy Spoering's blog

Tommye Scanlin's blog

If any of you also have studied with James and have memories and/or photos you'd like to share, please do so.  He was very inspirational to many and his passing is a sad loss.

I knew James as he began his visionary work, we were then both Monks, I was on loan to Christ in the Desert to help out and paint, so we became great friends, I remain a priest but always kept up that great friendship with him. His last e mail ( several days before he died), hoped that the illness would get better, but alas it wasn't to be. I had a terrible shock finding his obit via the web, like you all I shall miss him, he was my friend and like so many of you I loved him too, but he knew that anyway.May he rest in peace. Let me know of any events and memorials, is he buried in Santa fe? Robin (Robert )Gibbons e mailrobertgibbons376@btinternet.com
