Untitled/Unjuried small format tapestry exhibit--this summer in Providence, RI

Update:  Check out Jan Austin's blog post about the exhibit here.

Also, see a preview of Kathy Spoering's entry to the exhibit at here blog post here.

Janet Austin, the exhibit chairperson, has been working hard to pull together the entries for the American Tapestry Alliance unjuried small format show that will be held during the time of Convergence in Providence.  Here's what she says about the results of entries (deadline was the end of January):
Just wanted to share the exciting news about this exhibit.
This is the 10th unjuried small format tapestry exhibit, and this time we received 241 entries, from 13 countries, 6 continents, and 33 US states (including 7 of the 8 states beginning with the letter M!)
Now the tapestries are beginning to arrive.
The exhibit will be at the University of RI Providence Campus Gallery just 3 blocks from the convention center (where Convergence will be held), from July 8 to August 8, 2014.  The opening reception will be on Thursday, July 17, which is also Gallery Night Providence. We expect it to be a fabulous evening.
There will also be an exhibit of tapestries by members of Tapestry Weavers in New England (TWiNE) in the same building.
I hope to see many of you at the tapestry extravaganza in the Ocean State this summer!

That's indeed great news, Jan!  I'm looking forward to seeing all those wonderful tapestries this summer... and I hope many of you will be there, too.
